Blue Lake Beans are long and straight, have a mild, fresh herb flavor, Excellent steamed, sautéed, roasted, stir-fried or used in salads. Originally developed as a canned bean, it soon became a fresh favorite too.

Bush beans need containers of at least 15 to 18 cm. A good rule of thumb when growing fresh vegetables is to opt for larger containers. Larger containers hold more soil and, in turn, retain moisture longer.

Plant the seeds 1 inch deep and be sure to water the soil immediately after planting and then regularly until they sprout. Don't let the soil dry out. Bush beans can be planted in rows 75 to 90 cm apart, with seeds placed 2 to 5 cm apart. After the plants germinate, thin the seedlings to a distance of 8-10 cm
